The wondrous world of an instrument

As my nerves tense , fingers crawling across the assignment object. They feel a round pancake shaped living soul f a musician. The fingers then got caught in a snowball fight on the edge of the world. Then the fingers turn into a colony of ants with axes chopping a log of wood. It feels like my fingers are on a skateboard then they fall off and skid on the special cement at the skatepark. The zero shaped thing is shaken I notice a key whacking the shape  like it is hammering a nail. The hammer was trying to build a new instrument. Then a sound comes ringing to my ears it reminds  me of my heart racing when the circus was attempting a death defying trick.  The blind fold is whisked away from my eyes and mystery is unraveled.

The view of a life time

He glances at the death defying drop. The slopes are sheets of paper that are folded into origami mountain. The tip ends in the shape of Reindeers antlers. The sky shines blue like the Hukanui school gate. The journey is over the last glimpse is vital and then the glimpse slips away into a big black cloud of nothing.

The track that kills

Feet tensing. I feel my feet failing to carry on. I can hear my limbs crying out to God. As I race around the corner I can hear an enchantment of" GO HARRY" My feet absorb the cheers as they crack the code of a rhythm it starts to feel like I have Sonic boots on. My feet know they are clawing down the track.

The Christmas I met Santa

It was a cold and stormy night, the lightning crackled and the thunder rolled. " Right"! Yelled mum" Bed time"

As we drifted off to sleep on the Christmas Eve. We heard some bells tinkling so we took a small glance outside the window when a big crack of lightning took us unexpectedly. Something mysterious lit up. I whispered to my sister" It's a plane" she whispered back" No It's a bird" I whispered "No it's Santa"

Santa had landed right on the front porch. I could see Rudolph,Dasher,Prancer and Dancer. He climbed up onto the spare bedroom window pane. We ran to the fireplace and hide behind the couch.
POOF! A cloud of ash ran out into the outside world. I caught my courage deep down and leapt out from behind the couch like a person jumping over a hurtle.

Santa was a frightened at first. I whispered to my sister to come out . He gave a hard and firm handshake. We gave him a his beer and cookie we left out for him. We even got to feed some of the reindeer a carrot or two. He mumbled to" Keep this a secret" and poof he was gone.

We snuck back to bed without a doubt. We dozed off to sleep and then there was a " HO HO HO Merry Christmas"

Best Friends

Warm, friendly, glowing green eyes stare at meas if to say hello. I take her hand. She grasps it and holds on tightly as if to never let go. We smile at each other. The smile breaks out into a laugh and after a few minutes we are holding our sides in pain. We had so many memories and yet we have more to discover. We would never leave each other, we were best friends. My best friend is like a sister to me.

Favourite drink

The liquid inside the jug looks mouthwateringly good. An aromatic lemon smell rises from it. Sugar dances wildly inside. Bubbles rise to the surface as it is poured into a glass. My taste buds tingle as sweetness fights against sourness. This drink was probably made in heaven.

My room

A big, comfortable bed sits in the middle of the room. Big, red, black and white pillows smother the top of the bed. A white shelf holds book after book after book. Teddies stare with wide eyes from a cramped red and white box. Music blares from a radio on an elephant bean bag. In between the songs, the sound of birds and soft wind seeps under the window. Dandelion perfume surrounds me, the perfume smell fights with the slight whiff of baking from the kitchen. My favourite place is my place of privacy and relaxation.

My cat, Polly

Black, soft fur covers her body. Her right, green, slit like eye stares ahead. Her left eye, unable to see. Polly pricks her ears at the slightest sound. She cuddles close. When she is angry or scared her tail will wag madly. Her sharp nails cling desperately for her safety. Polly is my beautiful, cuddly cat.

The Mountain By Sophie

The rest of the jagged, snowy mountain looms above. A black snow-pick sticks out from the dense snow. A brown tent encloses a sleeping man. The pinching cold quickly sucks the warmth the man produces. Would you be able to survive the cold? Would you be prepared?

The Mountain

The Mountain

I sit on the delicate snow that surrounds me.  I stare at the mass of jagged rock that looms above me.  The sun dances across the snow making it glisten like crystals.  Even though my nose is red, my hands are shaking and I can't feel my toes, the edges of my mouth are near my ears.  My frightening, yet exciting adventure lies before me.

Avalanche by Logan

As he stares out into the so called beautiful landscape, it all turns into a hazy night mare and every thing got swept away. The snowy cloud came out of nowhere, crushing everything in its path, waiting for nobody. Nothing can stand the wrath of an Avalanche, even a man in his tent.

Mt Everest...Grace

The buzz of activity whirs at base camp. My snow-pick curves in front of the mountain, sticking out of my survival pack. My frail build lies relaxing in the tent, until the gong for breakfast sounds. Mmmmmm.....breakfast. Crispy bacon, pink with freshness and juiciness; poached eggs with pale outers and creamy orange inners; brown sausages, fresh out of the oven. Delicious!

The tallest peak glowed in the early dawn light. My aim was to conquer that one summit, because then my goal would be achieved. "Sir Edmund Hillary!" they would shout. "Our hero!"

It was our one last climb.

Mt. Everest

Mt. Everest

A man is sitting in his orange tent, gazing out at the mountain, clouds rolling down the snowy mountainside. The man sits up and wonders if he should go further up the slopes. A breeze kicks up in his tent as he ponders this thought. Eventually, he picks up his pickaxe and reaches the top of the extraordinary mountain.

Everest

The man lies dead in the snow, a snow axe lying beside him. The snow slips and slides down the mountain and ends in the valley below. His tent is open. He lies there, never to stir again.

The Mount Everest Journey By Jaime 1

The Mount Everest Journey

The mountain stood above me, a white sparkly coat wrapped around it's rocky body. Suddenly I noticed a cloud of smoke riding the side of the mountain. Rocks bounded off the tip of the mountain. A great fear lingered around me, the crisp cool wind swerved around the top. Then I noticed what it was......................... AVALANCHE!!!!

A Wonder Of The World....Mount Everest

Sitting wanting all the attention.

Snowy covered rocky mountain.

Pick, ready to conquer it.

Everest

Big snowy mountain glowing like the sun.
Feet trying to reach out to the axe.
Curtains are opening like a show is about to begin.

The mountain of power

He glances over the edge to the death defying drop. The slopes are sheets of blank paper folded into an origami mountain. The tip of the peck ends in the shape of Reindeer antlers. The sky shines blue like the Hukanui school gates. The journey is over at last as the man takes his last glimpse and slips away.

EVEREST by Mitchell

A thick fog-like mist, a majestic mountain peak.sights intimidating enough to scare even the bravest of climbers, those who consider the mountain their home.

THE MOUNTAIN MT EVEREST

The greenest zorb ever

A splash of green in a sea of blue.
Bobbing like a little lost boat.
Swirling like a dancer.
The dancer jumps,
and falls,
With that the show is over

My fav place

Bright, flashing lights hitting my brain. A big rabbit inside the store destroying a city. Red, black and white colours hypnotising me like a servant. It's like a big alien pet trying to munch me up to come inside and buy something. The red and white are the eyes and the black is the tongue which is licking me.

By Meharban

The place

Everyone's eyes stumble around the room on an adventure to find something that is not sustainable. The sustainable things crowd around the walls is the perfect camouflage for things that are not sustainable , even thought it is not the right peace it fits. The insanity makes my mind turn into a stomach of thoughts about a sustainable world.

When you enter the place you will feel a buzz across your body, it will spread across your body like the trail of damage a tornado leaves. The more you go in the more attracted you will get to learn. The things that surround my special place is a magnet that draws attention to the people who don't care about our wildlife.

This place creates an adventure only for eyes, it has the key to living in a healthy world and buzzes up your everyday life, but you'll never fell it again. This is the place where sustainable shines out.

My Favourite Place

Glassy, deep blue water.
Waves hit the side of the pearl white boat.
Hills, mountains and ranges surround the harbour the harbour.
The sun wraps his warm arms around me.
Birds sing their beautiful songs, to me like I'm a queen.
Relaxation at its best.

Tomatoes by Logan.

It's red coat shows its evil within. It try's to look innocent, but yet, nothing can change that. It squirts its disgusting insides at me as I tear it open. It's little seeds are like mini minions, choosing the dark side over the light. It tries to overwhelms my mouth with its disastrous juices but I regurgitate it before it can. It reforms to try and fool its next victim, but tomatoes will never fool me again.

The lake's wonders

The hills surrounding me tower above the tallest trees. Birds with the sunlight bouncing off the cool, peaceful water. The buoys belonging to the slalom course bob up and down in the wake of the boats.  I hear laughter, there is always laughter around here.

Some things you just can't ignore, the glamour of the lake is one of those few things. With it's incredible cliffs and glamorous waters , the weed doesn't change anything. Absolutely nothing can ruin my special place.

BLAKE

The Secret Cave...(the attic)

As you enter the gloomy dark room you get a whiff of a musty and mouldy smell. As the door opens wider the light chases the spiders away. You shut the door ever so silently as you creep across the hard wooden creaking floor. You find your way in darkness to a dark window. You plop down onto the floor and snuggle up in a heap of tattered blankets. Your eyes drift up to the ceiling which has a big hole planted in the middle. You rest your back against the window. It shifts a little. You pull back the curtain covering the window. Light fills the room. You look out of the window and you see something that makes your heart sink. Sun rays dancing on the tip of the trees. It's already your bedtime. So you go back through the door and snuggle up in your bed so tight with the memory of the room still in your mind...

My room

It's dark and gloomy like a cave.

When the light flicks on you see a big mess.

Books are strewn all over the floor and the ocean blue book case is almost full.

There's a dresser with drawers wide open and clothes hanging out of them.

Dark and gloomy.

Books everywhere.

Clothes everywhere.

"Pass the ball!"

We arrived. My eyes scanned over the surface. It was smooth gravel worn down by many running feet. White lines are the barriers. If you go over the lines it's like falling into lava, your doomed. The other team would have an advantage. The lines were wearing and needed some serious re-painting. The courts were long and spacious enough to run and bounce everywhere. At least 19 courts stretch over the big concret/gravel area. I had one more look a long one on the court I was playing on. This is where I would play. By Rumaysa Barnes
